I showed how to make some basic curves with the previous car, now I'll try to make some straight line graphics. I won't go through making the whole car because we did that previously. My son has a toy car that has some flames on it that looks pretty cool, so that's what I'll try to do.
This what the finished flames look like. The
next picture shows what settings I used to start making the flames. The flames
are triangles! First make a new raster image.
Once you have the triangle looking like you want it too rotate it 90 degrees to
the left. This lies it on its side. Copy it and paste it into on of the graphics
layers on your template. I just kept pasting till I had the side looking like I
wanted. Because we're using filled triangles there's some of the outside line
that we don't want.
I used the Paint brush to remove the orange lines I didn't want, and to
make the nose of the car white. The opposite side of the car is the same but
reversed so I copied , pasted and flipped the image. Using the grid helps line
things up. The hood was a bit more tricky. I decided that a Bezier curve across
the hood would look better than a straight line. It took a few back and forth
looks between the car viewer and PSP to get everything lined up. Then back to
the triangle and copy, paste again! Since one side of the hood is the mirror of
the other just make one side then copy it and paste m flip and away you go. I
left enough room so that I could put a single "flame" right up the middle. Once
again the orange lines extend to far into the white on the nose so out comes the
paint brush to remove them.
A simple
design but I think it looks pretty good.
