Using the point to point line tool to make jagged lines.

Since I wrote the tutorial I received a tip on how to make a jagged or wavy line similar to the one on Kevin Harvick's or Bobby Labonte's car. Once I got used to doing this it became quite simple. You begin by setting up the line tool as a point to point line in the tool options box. In the same box you can check antialias if you want and change the width of the line. If you want a sharp corner choose "miter" joint in the "tool options-draw " section of the tool options box. Starting to draw the line is a bit different than using the single line. What you have to do is put the cursor where you want your start point to be and do a left click. Now use the keys to press "ctrl L". You can now draw the first leg of your line. left click again and the first leg is complete and you are starting your second. Keep going as long as you want. When you are done do a "ctrl Q" and the line should show up. It does take a bit of practice to get the hang of using the tool, but once you do it sure is fun!

How do I get my car into the game?

You need to save the car you painted in PSP as a .bmp or a .tga  file in the exports_imports folder which is found in the Papyrus/NASCAR Racing 2003 folder. Now the paint job is ready for use in the game's paint shop. Start up NR2003, go to the opponent manager. If you have a car created already you don't need the next step which is to create a car. Name the car anything you want and then choose the make. click OK and there will be a new car without a paint job. Now open the game's paintshop. At the bottom of the page is the import button, click it. A drop down menu will open. Scroll down until you find the name of the new paint job you saved in the exports_imports folder earlier.  Click import. Your new paint has just been applied to the car. Have a look at it by clicking the 3d Preview button and marvel at the wonder which you have created! Ok, enough, back to work! Close the 3d preview window. Now click on save and the computer will crunch away for a bit while it saves your car. Click done when it is finished. You should be back at the opponent manager menu now. Now all you have to do is fill in the upper right section for your car. All you really need is the number, but I like to fill in as much as possible. When you are done click on save. The car is ready to go!
