Doing the driver's side is a bit easier than what we've done so far because all we need to do is go the the layer that has the passenger's side stripes, copy them, paste them as a new selection, flip and move them to the right spot. Here's what mine looks like now

Now that the stripes are done its time to add the 3rd color, which I'm going to do in yellow. To keep everything tied to the sponsor I'll use the yellow from the Ritz logo. If I had a good secondary sponsor I could use a color from their logo as well. For this car I'll use the paint brush tool set to the yellow I want, go to a layer below the white stripes (usually I use a layer just above the car body one). Then its just like coloring when you were a kid, stay inside the lines! Well, I guess just overlap the lines a little, but not enough that the yellow sticks out past the white lines. Note: I changed my mind about the white stripe after I made these pictures. I made the stripes blue instead. The making of the lines is the same regardless of what color you use.
Here's what the car looks like with the correct color stripes, and the yellow filled in:

A simple but interesting paint scheme. We have to make a choice now. Do we add chrome layers or not to get a metallic effect? I think we need to just to show how it is done. If you use it or not on your cars is up to you. Of course if you want to add chrome layers you must download them. Team Lightspeed is a good source for car ones.
We should have to layers named chrome 1 and chrome 2. Click on chrome 1 in the layer palette to highlight it, then double click on the layer's icon just to the left of the layer's name. This will open a window that has the layer's properties in it. We want to change the blend mode to "multiply" for chrome 1. Then click OK. Open a chrome layer file, then copy and paste it into the chrome layer. Then do the same thing for the layer named chrome3, but set its blend mode to "overlay". If you don't like the way it looks try changing the opacity of the layers. You can change the opacity in the same window you changed the blend mode in. Here's what my car looks like now:
I like the
look, but before I make up my mind I want to see how the decals I have look on
the car.
